ART DIRECTION & ILLUSTRATION

This was my first Amazon Global Retail Design Style Guide project as an official D1 member.  In addition to Art Direction, I provided designs & illustrations. Though I presented five concepts, I pushed for the simplest of the potential directions, as I believed a minimal approach would best compliment the hero graphics. Based on minimal line art, this style was inspired by the American conceptual artist Sol Lewitt, whose work I had recently seen at Dia:Beacon in New York. The direction I proposed and graphics I created were used across retail marketing banners and product web sites in U.S., CA, MX, EU and Australian markets.  I also created an Amazon Box Tape Design based on this style.
